Healthy Strawberry & Ponkh/Hurda Salad in Stahl Hybrid Frypan

HEALTHY STRAWBERRY & PONKH/HURDA SALAD IN STAHL HYBRID FRYPAN

Chef Nehal Karkera has used Stahl’s Hybrid Frypan for the preparation of this healthy treat!

 

Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Ponkh:

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 ½ tbsp sliced Garlic
  • 1 cup Ponkh/Fresh Green Jowar
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp coarse Chilli Powder or regular Chilli Powder

For the Vinaigrette / Dressing:

  • 4 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 8 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1-2 tbsp Honey

Other Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Lettuce Leaves
  • ½ cup Cucumbers
  • 2 tbsp chopped Pistachios
  • 2 tbsp Feta Cheese (Optional)

 

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the sliced garlic, once they brown add the Ponkh and toss well.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and coarse chilli powder & remove the heat. Let it cool off completely.
  3. Next prepare the dressing, take all the ingredients in a squeeze bottle or bowl, and whisk till combined.
  4. Now for the assembly take all the other ingredients along with the Ponkh in a bowl and add the vinaigrette. Add the vinaigrette only when you're ready to serve.
  5. Toss well and serve chilled. Top with some feta cheese if you have some
