HEALTHY BEANS PORIYAL IN STAHL HYBRID TASLA

“Poriyal” in Tamil means “stir-fried” or “sautéed dish”. You can make this with other veggies too. Like carrots, potato, cabbage etc.

You have to try this with rice + ghee + rice podi and Pappu! This combo is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil / Ghee / Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad Dal
  • 1 tbsp Channa Dal
  • 2-3 dried Red Chillies
  • 2 cups Chopped Beas
  • Salt
  • ¼ tsp Haldi
  • ½ cup Water
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 2-4 Curry Leaves
  • 4-6 tbsp Shredded Coconut

     

        Method:

        1. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, and cook for 10-15 secs.
        2. Add the dals, and red chillies temper for a minute, then add beans.
        3. Mix and cook for 2-3 mins.
        4. Add salt and haldi, and mix well.
        5. Add in water and cover it with a lid, cook for 4-6 mins or till the beans are cooked through.
        6. Next add the remaining ingredients, mix them well, and serve this hot!
