
Hasselback Potatoes
Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside - they look good and taste amazing.

The Blacksmith Plus Cast Iron Fry Pan is the tool of choice for this sunlet bunch of deliciousness.
Ingredients
- 5 potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary, crushed
- ¼ tsp paprika powder
- Oven, pre-heated to 200°C
Procedure
- Place the potato in between two wooden spoon handles or chopsticks on the chopping board and slice thinly. The thinner, the better.
- Place the potatoes in an oven-friendly cast iron pan.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients and drizzle the mixture over the potatoes.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for 60 minutes.
- In between, bring out the pan and baste the potatoes with the liquid in the pan using a kitchen brush.
- Garnish with fresh herbs.
- Make sure you don’t miss out on any of the deliciously intense flavours - serve in the pan itself!
