Ingredients:

For the Soaked Fruits:

  • ½ cup / 100 gm Orange Juice
  • 1 ½ cup / 300 gm Dry Fruits (Almonds, Raisins, Cashew, Tutti Frutti, Cherries, Muskmelon Seeds)

For the Cake:

  • ⅔ cup / 130 gm Sugar
  • ⅔ cup / 130 gm Water
  • ¼ cup / 50 gm Milk
  • ¼ cup / 50 gm Refined Oil
  • 1 cup / 200 gm Maida
  • ½ tsp Cardamom Powder
  • ½ tsp Clove Powder
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 3 tsp / 20 gm Milk Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Essence
  • Soaked Fruits

Method:

  1. Soak the above-mentioned fruits in orange juice for a few hours.
  2. For the caramel, heat the sugar in the Stahl Versatil Pressure Cooker. Add in the water when the sugar melts and cook till it turns into a golden brown colour, then remove from heat.
  3. In a bowl, add the milk, butter, flour, spices, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, and the prepared caramel. Give this all a good mix. Add in the soaked dry fruits & mix them well. Pour the batter into a lined tin and top it with the dry fruits of your choice.
  4. Place the mould in the pressure cooker, cover it with a lid, and remove the whistle. Cook this on medium heat for 60 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
