Quick & Easy Diwali Sweets In 30 Minutes

 

The festival of light is around, and we are all very excited to celebrate the festivity with our family and friends. Every Indian festival is incomplete without sweets. We all love and relish eating sweets at every festival, but today we won’t have too much time to dedicate to preparing sweets at home because of our busy lifestyle. People generally order sweets from sweet parlors or bakeries.

 

In this blog, we have curated some easy and quick Diwali sweets recipes that you can prepare at home with less effort and time.

 

  1. Dry Fruit Laddoo

 

Dry fruit laddoos are the easiest, to begin with. These require a few simple ingredients in preparation. Made with natural sweeteners, these laddoos are healthy and nutrition-rich energy balls that take just 20 min to prepare.

 

Ingredients

 

15 Cashews

15 Almonds

20 Pistachios

1 Tablespoon Raisins

4 Figs

8 Dates

2 Tablespoon Ghee

 

Instructions To Prepare

 

  • Roughly chop the dry fruits (Cashews, almonds, pistachios). Heat ghee in a pan and roast the dry fruits for a minute or two.

 

  • Coarsely grind figs, dates and raisins.

 

  • Take a mixing bowl and mix the ground dates mixture and roasted nuts.

 

  • Add a pinch of nutmeg powder (optional)

 

  • Mix well, grease your hands with ghee and make small laddoos from the mixture

 

  • You can also roll the laddoos in desiccated coconut powder

  1. Coconut Burfi

 

Another easy sweet you can make this Diwali is coconut burfi. This quick recipe can be made with only two main ingredients and the good thing is you need not require to make sugar syrup.

 

Ingredients

 

1 Cup Grated Coconut

1 Cup Sugar

1 Powdered Cardamom

5-10 Cashew

1 Tablespoon Ghee

 

 Instruction

 

  • Fry cashew in a pan at medium flame till golden brown

 

  • Grease a tray and keep it ready

 

  • Heat coconut and sugar together and mix well.

 

  • Continue cooking the mix on medium flame by constantly stirring it.

 

  • Continue stirring the mixture until it leaves the edges of the pan & foamy whitish bubbles form in the mixture.

 

  • Make sure that the color doesn't change & add cashew & cardamom in the end

 

  • Pour the mixture immediately onto the greased tray

 

  • Give it a smooth finish with greased aluminum foil or butter paper

 

  • Cut into pieces when it is still warm.

  1. Chocolate Peda

 

This will be your kids’ favorite sweet this Diwali. Made chocolate peda with 3 basic ingredients khoya, cocoa powder and sugar.

 

Ingredients

 

1 Cup Khoya

2 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder

¼ Cup Sugar

10-12 Chopped Almonds

1 Teaspoon Butter

½ Teaspoon Vanilla Essence

Sliced Almonds (Optional)

 

Instructions

 

  • Take a heavy bottom pan and mix khoya, cocoa powder, sugar, butter and chopped almonds at medium flame.

 

  • As it starts melting and becomes watery, add vanilla essence and continue cooking till it starts leaving the edges of the pan.

 

  • Switch off the flame when the mixture gets thicker and transfer the mix to another plate for cooling.

 

  • When it is warm enough to handle, make equal parts for rolling.

 

  • Grease your hands and give them the shape of pedas. Place these pedas over a butter paper/baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
