Ice Cream Sandesh

Preparation of Ice Cream Sandesh

To make this delicious treat, make the chenna by adding vinegar to boiled milk as shown in the video, and have the rest of the ingredients given below, along with your Stahl Versatil Cooker and a 6 to 8-inch mould ready.

Ingredients for Ice Cream Sandesh

  • 5 Litres Milk
  • 3/4 cup Condensed Milk
  • 3/4 cup Cream
  • 1 & 1/2 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Elaichi Powder (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Rose Water

How to Make Ice Cream Sandesh

  • In a blender, blend the chenna, condensed milk, cream, corn flour, elaichi powder & rose water to make a smooth batter.
  • Pour this in any container that can be easily placed inside your Stahl Versatil cooker.
  • Boil some water in the cooker for 5 to 7 mins on high flame & steam the Ice Cream Sandesh for 30 to 35 mins.
  • Cool it down & bring it to room temperature.
  • Refrigerate until chilled before serving.

Tips for Making Ice Cream Sandesh

  • Blend the mixture properly till you get a smooth mix. This will give you dessert a nice, smooth, texture.
  • Line the mould with a parchment paper to release the desert easily once it is ready.
  • Serve it chilled, that is when it tastes best.
  • You can use saffron also instead of elaichi, but go ahead and experiment with some more flavors if you like.
  • Adding color is optional.
