Healthy Quinoa Khichri in Stahl Xpress Cooker


Khichri is our absolute favourite! And this recipe is so so good if you wish to lose weight. And it’s absolutely YUMMM!

The Stahl Xpress Cooker is India's first ISI-Mark Triply Pressure Cooker. It is designed to be extremely smooth to operate, cooks faster than any other normal steel cooker, and has a double safety mechanism, unlike most other pressure cookers.

Serves 2



  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • ½ tsp Jeera
  • Small pinch of Hing
  • ½ tsp Ginger; grated
  • 1 small Potato; cut in half
  • 1 small Carrot; chopped
  • 4-6 Green Beans; chopped
  • ¼ cup Green Peas
  • ¼ cup Quinoa; washed
  • ¼ cup Moong Dal; washed
  • Salt
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala
  • ¼ tsp Haldi
  • ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 cups of Water



  1. Heat Ghee, add in Jeera, let it pop, then add in Hing and Ginger. Cook for 10-15 secs.
  2. Next, add all the other ingredients together. Cover with the lid.
  3. Let this cook on low heat for 5-6 whistles.
  4. Once done, open and serve hot with Ghee.
